Our beautiful British woodlands. I love the grounding, peaceful feeling of being near trees, and the intricate textures of their leaves and seeds. This inspires me to create tactile, wearable replicas in silver.

Full description
A pair of silver fern drop earrings in recycled fine silver, made by taking a mould from a real fern leaf that I found whilst out on a woodland walk near my home in Wiltshire. These ancient plants are symbolic of resilience, protection, and sincerity.
These dainty earrings have been individually handmade from precious metal clay, which is made up of recycled fine silver particles, binder, and water. When fired, the binder burns away to leave solid fine silver.
They have been given a soft satin finish and lightly oxidised with a darkening patina to highlight the intricate frond details. The edges have been polished to a high shine so that they sparkle as they catch the light. Comfortable and light to wear, these tiny dangle earrings would make a thoughtful gift for any nature lover.
MATERIALS & MEASUREMENTS
- Recycled fine silver rectangles: 6mm across x 13mm tall.
- Suspended from recycled sterling silver hooked ear wires.
- Total length of each earring, including the ear wire: 27mm.
POSTAGE & PACKAGING
These earrings will be carefully tissue-wrapped and presented in a recyclable gift box (with reusable insert). They will be shipped within 3 days of order via Royal Mail Tracked 24 postal service.
GIFTING
If your purchase is a gift and you would like me to include a handwritten note to the recipient, please write your message in the 'Note to Seller' box at the checkout. There is no additional charge.
A NOTE ABOUT HALLMARKING
Under UK law, all silver items weighing over 7.78g must be hallmarked by one of the four UK assay offices. As these earrings fall under this weight, they are exempt and do not bear a hallmark.
If you have any questions, feel free to send me a message using the 'Contact' button at the top of my shop page and I would be happy to assist.
