Full description
A pretty beaded collar necklace in white, beige, old gold, pearly shades and creams, adorned with beaded flowers and an eclectic assortment of pearls, glass beads and vintage buttons. Stitched by hand a few beads at a time, no two of these necklaces are ever exactly alike.
Ideal for a rustic vintage-style or beach wedding and very wearable with other outfits afterwards, the collar drapes like fabric and is very comfortable as the wide strap distributes the weight evenly. No metal components are used, so it's kind to the most delicate skin.
The 'Marie Antoinette' collar was one of my most popular patterns in my previous life as a beadwork designer, and it's still one of my favourites. This version measures approximately 18" (46 cm) long and 3" (7.5 cm) deep at the centre front. It fastens with a vintage polished bone button and a beaded loop.
(By the way, although I no longer sell beading tutorials, I have put them all on the web for free and will happily send you the link. There are 30-odd 'retired' patterns on there, including this one!)
