This striking, handcrafted piece - Solar Radiance - is a piece in the Inyanga collection, a series inspired by the Zulu word for "moon." This piece, crafted with soft cotton cord, departs from the previous designs by using a dynamic color palette of brilliant yellow and muted grey.
The design features a central spiral, symbolizing the core of a star or sun, surrounded by concentric rings of contrasting colors and textures. The vibrant yellow fringing radiates outwards, creating a sense of energy and warmth, while the soft grey provides a grounding counterpoint. This piece is a testament to the versatility and expressive power of fiber art.
Like the other pieces in the collection, Solar Radiance can be a powerful standalone statement piece, or it can be grouped with other pieces from the Inyanga collection to create a cohesive and visually stunning wall display.
