Hi and welcome to The Old Button Sews, where I sell beautiful gifts designed and sewn by me, together with a range of slow-stitching kits based on my extensive collection of vintage and salvaged textiles.
Most items are dispatched within 1 working day, and I post Tracked 48, using a flat price no matter how many items you buy. You can add a shipping upgrade if you need your parcel sooner - see the first listing in my shop.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
Boat bookmarks - lovely for relaxing holiday reading, or a gift for sea lovers and boaters alike. Practical and beautiful, my handmade bookmarks are very tactile - made from quality quilting cottons and pure wool felt.
The fuzzy texture of the wool backing means your bookmark won't slip out of your book, and it's soft and pliable, so it won't be damaged by bending.
Sale item - clearing product lines - only 1 left.
Part of my zero-waste range, I used a small fragment of this lovely boat-themed fabric in my scrap basket to make two bookmarks. The boat names are Lewis and Irene.
The strip of boat fabric is securely machine-stitched to a turquoise blue felt backing - contrasting beautifully with the cool grey water and enhancing the little pops of colour on the boats. I use a tiny blanket stitch to catch in the raw edges - using a co-ordinated thread to add extra detail and texture to both sides of the bookmark.
Soft and pliable - this bookmark has no card so it won't be damaged by bending.
Size: approx 18 cm by 5 cm (7 inch by 2 inch)
