My design was inspired many years ago by watching how the wild birds pull out worms and grubs from the soil with their narrow beaks.
This tool is created by two craft processes forging and woodturning.
I even use one of these tools myself in my garden!

Blacksmith forged hook of medium carbon steel with a decorative twist
It is attached inside a wood turned handle made on my pole lathe
This is the bigger version of this tool which has more leverage to hook underneath and lift out weed roots in borders or garden pots
It can also be used to scrape between paving slabs where needed
This useful tool can pry under and lift rocks but bear in mind its not the same design as a crowbar which is intended for heavy duty work
Ideal as a unique handmade gift I even have my own personal one that I use in my garden
