Spools To Layers

Original designs for your home and you, printed layer by layer in the UK.

Hi, I'm Rob, the maker behind Spools To Layers. A veteran Combat Medic with a knack for crafting items not just for looks but for use.

Everything in this shop is my own design. I draw each piece from scratch in Fusion 360, then print it at home in the UK, layer by layer. That's where the name comes from: every piece starts life as a spool of filament.

I like making things that look good and actually get used, like trays, pen pots, coasters and soap holders and much more. Some ideas start with a request from family. The soap holder began when a family member asked me to make one.

Every print gets checked before it's posted, and if it isn't right, it doesn't leave the house. Look underneath and you'll find the Spools To Layers maker's mark.

And yes, there's a cat: Maple, our ginger kitten and her big Tabby sister. The printer's fully enclosed, partly to keep their paws out of it.

Every piece is my own original design, 3D printed by me in the UK and checked before it's posted. Look underneath and you'll find the Spools To Layers maker's mark.

Orders are dispatched within 7 working days by Royal Mail Tracked 48, UK only.

Returns Policy

You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

Please note: Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken.

If you change your mind, you can cancel within 14 days of receiving your order. Please message me first, then send the item back in its original condition. Return postage is paid by the buyer, and you'll get a full refund, including the original postage, within 14 days of the item reaching me.

If anything arrives damaged or faulty, message me with a photo as soon as you can and I'll send a replacement or a full refund, including postage.

Bespoke designs made to your own specification can't be returned unless they're faulty.
