Hi, I'm Lisa! The maker behind Opalosity.

Colour and light have always been a huge inspiration for me. I'm a magpie for anything that catches the light and sparkles! For me, iridescence isn't just part of my design aesthetic - it's a big part of my life and it's what really gets me curious! Opalosity helps me translate my love of colour and sparkle into memorable pieces that catch the light.

Opalosity jewellery isn't just an accessory - it's a way to add more colour and light to your wardrobe and, more importantly, to help the colour-curious and colour maximalists express their personality while bringing a little more dopamine into everyday life.

Every Opalosity piece is designed and handmade by me here in the UK, with lots of care... and probably a cup of tea and a couple of cats close by!

When I'm not building Opalosity, you'll usually find me experimenting with colour combinations, searching for new beads to add to my collections, or chasing the sparkle in the sunshine.

When I decided I wanted to launch a business, I wanted to build it around the things that I love: making things, and celebrating light and colour.

I started out making necklaces for Christmas presents, and it all kind of snowballed from there.

When I started thinking about a name for my jewellery business, I wanted something that captured all of that.

From the beads and materials I choose to the way I photograph my pieces, light and colour are at the centre of everything I make.

But I couldn't find an existing word that quite summed it up, so I made one up!

The name comes from:

- Opalescence: colour and light transformation
- Curiosity: the fascination I have with light

For me, Opalosity is really about making things that come alive in the light.
