Shop Announcement:

I’m taking a short spring cleaning pause while I refresh my shop and begin welcoming in the Animals of TasWood. New woodland pieces shaped for little ones — nurseries, playrooms and early‑childhood wonder — are on their way. I’ll also be returning with a reimagined Finn’s Gift of Gloves collection, now closer to the child‑centred, story‑rich world it belongs to and perfect for thoughtful teacher gifts. More TasWood magic is gathering…

About Illustrated By Nikki

Illustrated By Nikki

And so it was - the ordinary turned extraordinary, one stroke at a time...

I’m Nikki, an illustrator and storyteller living in the quiet fold of the Tas Valley in Norfolk. By day I help build homes; by night I return to my desk by the river, where the reeds whisper their secrets and the woodland edges hum with old tales.

That’s where TasWood began — in the hush between the trees, in the pawprints along the riverbank, in the small wonders noticed on walks with my Jack Russell, Georgie Jack Rascal. The wild ones revealed themselves slowly: a rustle here, a flicker there, a creature waiting to be drawn into the light.

With dip pen, ink and watercolour, I bring their stories to life — raised lines you can feel beneath your fingertips, soft washes of colour, and the quiet magic of Norfolk folklore woven through every piece. Some illustrations carry hidden messages in Morse Code, tiny secrets left by the woodland sprites for those who look closely.

From these tales come hand‑printed treasures for cosy homes and curious hearts — keepsakes that carry a little piece of TasWood into the everyday.

If you listen closely, you might hear the river whisper back.
