Welcome to Cottage by the Tarn - a quiet, considered space inspired by slow living, nature, and the beauty of everyday things. I started Cottage by the Tarn from a love of working with natural materials. From hand-poured candles and small-batch soaps to dried floral pieces, everything I make is crafted thoughtfully, using natural materials and a soft, timeless palette to bring a sense of calm into the home.
Living in Borrowdale in the Lake District, I live close to nature which shapes so much of what I do. The changing seasons, wild textures and muted tones all find their way into my work. I’m drawn to pieces that feel gentle, grounding, and made to last. Things that don’t need to shout to be noticed.
