Hello there. I am a designer and maker of leather goods. Easily bored, I usually only make one of anything.

I began leatherwork when I retired from teaching a few years ago by wanting a pair of comfortable stiletto shoes.... they're still in progress!
Now I decide what to make by what I see, what I need and by what I am asked for.
My motto is 'If you can design it, then I can make it'; from bespoke dog harnesses, handbags, lampshades to shoes and waistcoats.
Most of my goods are hand-stitched but occasionally Hilda, my 1916 Singer sewing machine, comes into use (named after my gran who was born the same year).
Hand carving or engraving leather to ensure each piece is totally individual takes time and my items are built to last.
I love being creative and 'in the zone' whilst listening to music or a book from the elibrary.
