In my spare time, I love giving a second life to spirit bottles with colours and lights, while processing life and listening to podcasts
My name is Claire and I have always loved keeping unused, broken and unloved things, to bring them together to create something new. My family has always teased me about it because of the space it took: the creation process always made it worth though, it brought me joy and serenity.
A few years back, I came across a (then empty) beautifuly rounded shaped bottle with a genie on the label. It felt like some sparkly colours could bring it to life again and the idea of colourful lamps emerged. A few technical trials later to get the colours to stick, I really got into looking for more bottle shapes and types of coloured glass. An realised I found my life processing activity of choice!
I started to gift those bottles all around me for Christmas,Weddings and Birthdays: the lights in the night, the colours in the day, the choice of bottle that can be meaningful or a long-time favorite, all contributed to happy new owners! I now want that joy to be shared more widely.
All of what I do is handcrafted and imperfect, it takes hours to choose shapes and colours and give it a second life. It is a very soothing process for me and I love the idea of the end product bringing joy in your home or someone you love.
