Unique handmade jewellery and accessories

Hello, my name is Lucinda and I have a love of all things crafty.

I create mixed media jewellery, from beads, wire, wood, resin, metals, plastics, coconut shell and buttons to name a few. As I use mixed media some materials are not new, some are recycled, vintage and second-hand beads, fabrics and buttons. I’m continually learning new techniques, styles and always on the look out for interesting materials to add to my work.

I come from a creative background, as a child always drawing and creating things out of items around the house. All my later education was in art and design courses and my final degree in Entertainment design crafts specialising in costume design and construction.

Over 10 years ago I discovered the world of jewellery which started with a few beads and wire and then I developed my skills from there. I’m always keen in learning something new and so in the last few years I joined a metalwork evening course and have started learning more about metal forming and creating new ideas. My most recent is recycling aluminium drink cans into necklaces and earrings, adding acrylic sheet shapes to add more colour and shape.

With my love of sewing and upcycling I have also now added bags to my collection of crafts. So far, I have been making them from altered shirts and new and recycled denim and other fabrics.

Most of my work is one of a kind, apart from some small quantities of certain designs.
