Ladybird mosaics

Hi, I’m Libby Emery, a mosaic artist based in Hove, East Sussex.

I create unique handmade mosaics using beautiful vintage and reclaimed pottery and glass. My collection includes vibrant trays, wall decor, and weather-resistant garden hangings.

I also make distinctive mosaic gift tags. These feature a smooth wood backing that you can write on, making them perfect for keepsake gifts or wedding bouquets.

Behind the Mosaics
After more than 40 wonderful (and busy!) years serving as a senior nurse within the NHS, I retired in 2026 to finally chase my creative dreams. I have always had a deep love for art and making. As soon as I retired, I dived headfirst into learning everything I could, signing up for multiple courses in felting, pottery, and mosaic making.

Crafting in Chaos
The real magic happened when I was lucky enough to have a beautiful garden room built. It is my absolute sanctuary—a space that allows me to "craft in chaos" and let the materials speak to me. The rest, as they say, is history! Every mosaic item you see here is handmade in that very garden room, fueled by passion, patience, and a love for giving old things a second chance.
