Hello and welcome to Knits by Karen.
Well, here I am .... finally taking the plunge and opening my own Folksy shop!
For those who don't know me, I'm Karen, the person behind Knits by Karen. I have been knitting and crocheting for many years, and there really is nothing I enjoy more than sitting with some lovely yarn and turning it into something handmade.
I make a little bit of everything - from cosy hats and headwraps to baby blankets, cardigans, booties and blankets for grown-ups too. Every item is made by me, by hand or occasionally with my knitting machine, with lots of care and attention.
I'm much happier behind my needles that I am putting myself out there, so opening my own shop feels like a rather big step! But after the recent closure of Mightie Makers, where I was lucky enough to be part of such a wonderful community of makers, i decided it was time to give it a go.
So, this is the next chapter for Knits by Karen.
My shop will be growing gradually as I add my existing makes, and I'll also be sharing new creations along the way.
