Hi, I'm Jayne.
I've always been interested in making things, even as a child. I made cards for friends and family and then my own wedding stationery. After so much positive feedback I decided to start my own greeting card and wedding stationery business. So after 16 years as a scientist in an R&D laboratory, I took redundancy and started PuddyCards. I ran this successfully from 2001 until 2013 when I had to give it up due to health problems which has left me needing a wheelchair. But now I'm back, with a new name, new designs and a new lease of life! My first business was named after my old cat Puddy. Now I've named it after my dog Seren...which is the Welsh word for star...because well, she was a star! We sadly lost her in October 2023, but she made it to our wedding in the May!
I live with my husband Dan, our old cat Sooty and our new crazy, loveable rescue dog Minny, who we got in May 2024.
My husband and I are both vegetarian and grow all our own veg as well as strawberries, raspberries, and have a couple of apple trees, a lemon tree, a cherry tree! and currant bushes. I love museums, the theatre, going to gigs, Terry Pratchett, anything Zombie, trees and the colours pink & purple.
