Fused glass spotty dish set

Two shallow dishes, one large, one small with turquoise base and white surface with multicoloured spots. I made the spots separately by cutting small pieces of glass and fusing them in the kiln. Glass obeys the '6mm rule' and when heated will either spread or draw up into a height of 6mm. Therefore if small squares are cut and heated in the kiln, they will draw up into a circular 'spot'! The spots were placed on top of the layers of hand cut white and turquoise opaque glass, then the pieces were fused together in the kiln at 800C for many hours. They required a second kiln firing at a lower temperature over a mould to slump into their finished shape. The larger dish measures approximately 15cm square and the small one approx 8cm square. They will be sent in a box via Royal Mail Tracked 48.
