About this item
This textile brooch is made from a base of mustard yellow gingham that has been Kantha stitched with gold silk thread. This has then been decorated with an antique, silk cigarette card depicting gold marigolds, vintage lace scraps and a flower charm. The brooch is edged with beaded blanket stitch. The brooch is backed with more gingham and a brooch back for attaching the brooch to clothing etc. The brooch measures approximately 6.25cm (2.5in) wide and 7.75cm (3in) tall, including the beads.
