Araminta Sprat, Eaten by the Cat 1894

This is the ghost of Araminta Sprat, eaten by the cat in 1894. She is a hand embroidered ghost mouse with little leather ears and tail. She is a OOAK mouse. She is dressed in a Liberty tana lawn print called The Collector, glass jars of the specimens treasured by the collector. She has coordinating underskirts and cotton lace bloomers. Her underskirt is pale grey cotton dot with a ghostly white tulle lace petticoat. Her dress is finished with organza ribbon, tiny buttons and little leather shoes. Her shroud is very delicate sheer silk voile so that you can see her embroidered face and pale pearl eyes. She is softly stuffed with dried thyme in her stuffing for a gentle scent and she has a tiny quartz crystal at her heart to help her see into the present. Eaten by the cat in 1894 while tidying the vicar's study she still haunts it today. She has a brass ring to her back in case you want to place her on the wall. She stands 7 inches tall She is a folk doll for grown ups and sadly is not suitable for children to play with. I hope you like her xx
