Bring the peaceful beauty of the Devon countryside into your home with this original unframed textile art wall hanging. Inspired by a tranquil spot in my local area of Devon, where wildflowers bloom amongst the reeds, this one-of-a-kind piece captures the scene using carefully selected vintage and preloved textiles. I have created a collage using a beautiful collection of vintage and preloved fabrics, lace, broderie anglaise, and linen to build layers of texture and interest. The artwork is backed with soft cotton batting to add depth and is further enhanced with hand embroidered reeds and delicate beaded details that catch the light. The finished textile artwork has been hand stitched onto 100% cotton rag paper (Khadi paper) before being mounted on acid-neutral green mountboard, chosen to complement the natural green tones of the reeds. Dimensions - Mountboard: 12" x 10" (approximately 30.5 x 25.5 cm) - Textile artwork: approximately 8" x 6" (approximately 20 x 15 cm) The mounted artwork is ready for you to display however you choose. It is sturdy enough to stand on a mantelpiece, display on an easel, or place in a frame to suit your décor. Your artwork will be carefully packaged in a protective self-seal sleeve and packaged carefully to ensure it arrives safely. Every piece of hand-stitched textile art I create is a one-of-a-kind original, designed and made entirely by me using carefully sourced vintage and reclaimed textiles.
