Full description
This unframed textile art embroidery is part of my "Canvas" collection.
This original hand embroidered piece was inspired by a moment spent watching delicate dragonflies darting among the reeds at the water's edge.
The scene has been embroidered entirely by hand through a layer of wadding, creating a richly textured, quilted effect with beautiful depth and dimension. The finished embroidery has been carefully hand stitched to a 6" artist's canvas that I have hand painted in a soft pastel blue acrylic paint, perfectly complementing the tranquil waterside scene.
I have intentionally left the fabric edges frayed, celebrating the tactile nature of textile art and adding to the piece's rustic, handcrafted charm.
The canvas has been left unfinished so you can choose how to display your artwork. Add your own hanging fittings, display it on a mini easel, or place it in a suitable frame.
