Rich chocolate brown, vivid orange and shimmering blue-green beads come together in these intricate handmade lace earrings.
Each earring is created by hand using traditional tatting techniques, building the lace one tiny knot at a time. The layered floral design combines deep brown and bright orange thread with blue-green Miyuki seed beads and a soft pearl centre, finished with gold-tone leverback ear wires.
The combination of warm autumn shades and contrasting teal gives these earrings a distinctive contemporary feel while still showing the delicate detail of traditional lace-making.
Despite their detailed appearance, tatted lace is wonderfully lightweight, making these comfortable to wear when you want something a little more unusual than conventional earrings.
Each pair is handmade by me in small quantities, so slight variations are part of the character of genuinely handmade lace.
