Full description
The Shape of Things is an original contemporary abstract painting celebrating colour, form and the beauty found in everyday shapes and imperfect marks.
Bold blocks of raspberry pink, ochre, turquoise, lime and deep red are layered against a fresh white background, interspersed with delicate hand-drawn lines, spirals, patterns and graphic details.
The composition has an almost architectural quality, with shapes appearing to connect, overlap and balance one another. Some suggest buildings, windows or objects, while others remain deliberately abstract, allowing the viewer to create their own interpretation.
Painted intuitively, the piece combines strong geometric forms with loose, spontaneous mark-making, creating an artwork that feels both playful and considered.
An uplifting, contemporary original designed to bring colour and character to a modern interior.
