All baby knitwear is designed and hand crafted by Demelza Designer Knitwear.com in Cornwall meeting UK baby safety standards, Only branded premuim acylic, acrylic/natural fibre blends or pure natural fibre yarns are used in baby knitwear which conforms to BS984/76 standards.
Their knitwear patterns are not available to purchase to the general public. All knitwear is protected by ©️ design.

These gorgeous supersoft booties have been lovingly designed hand crafted in Cornwall by Demelza Designer Knitwear for those seeking total individuality. The booties have been hand knitted to traditional fairisle techniques. The hand knitter's tension must be kept even at all times to prevent the work from becoming to tight or loose. This is a skill within itself.
The solid light blue yarn and muticoloured yarns are 100% merino wool. The white and mushroom colour yarns are 95% merino wool with 5% polyester. The blue colour yarn is 90% merino wool with 10% polyester.
Merino wool is hypoallergenic, breathable and naturally very soft, and the preferred natural fibre for babies knitwear worn directly against the skin. Quality branded merino wool is considerably more expensive than acrylic or mixed man made and natural fibre yarns, the cost of these booties reflects this!
All yarns used are machine washable at low temperature settings. On the inside seam of one bootie the branded Demelza Designer Knitwear garment label has been attached with the care instructions woven within it for lasting reference. On the other bootie the branded garment swing tag is attached.
The sole length of the booties is 11cms with a picot piped edge to define the booties finished shape. The design is protected by copyright dated 17.09.2026 by demelzadesignerknitwear.com.
