This board has been made from a carefully selected piece of walnut, chosen for its beautiful contrast between the rich, dark heartwood and lighter sapwood. The natural live edge has been retained along one side, giving the board its individual character. Each Belada board is made and finished by hand, so rather than receiving a generic example, the board shown in these photographs is the exact board you will receive. Designed to be both useful and beautiful, it works equally well as an everyday chopping board or as a serving board for bread, cheeses, charcuterie and sharing food. The board is finished with a food-safe finish of Tung Oil to protect the timber while allowing the natural colour and grain of the walnut to remain the focus.
