About this item
A textile brooch made from reclaimed fabrics and edged with buttonhole lace. The front is decorated with net, lace and whitework scraps along with applique and embroidery flowers all salvaged from damaged household linens (e.g.traycloths, napkins etc). Further decoration includes, a suffolk puff, a button and beads, with blue natural stone chips hanging along the bottom edge. There's a vintage safety pin attached at the back for pinning the brooch onto clothes etc. The brooch measures 5.5cm (2.25in) wide and 8.5cm (3.25in) tall (inc. the stone chips).
