About this item
This textile brooch has been made from patterned, cotton fabric recycled from a blouse, kantha-stitched to form a background for the decoration. A single, large, raised and embroidered orange flower, with a french-knotted and beaded centre. The brooch is edged with blanket stitch that is beaded around three sides. The bottom edge has a selection of new amd reclaimed beads dangling from it. The back of the brooch has a vintage safety pin to attach it to clothing etc. This smaller brooch measures approximately 5cm (2in) wide and 5.5cm (2.25in) tall, not including the dangling beads.
