Celtic Nations Outline Map Cartography Wales Ireland Scotland Alba Eire Cymru

This is an A4 print of the Celtic Nations. Scotland, Ireland, and Wales (Alba, Eire, Cymru) from the original pen and ink work by David Nicol. Maps have been used for centuries not only as aids for navigation, but also for political purposes. Borders that naturally followed rivers or mountain ranges were moved arbitrarily to annex land by more powerful nations. The borders of Eire, Cymru, and Alba have waxed and waned based on the whims of those in power in England with the annexation and oppression of the native peoples, their languages, and cultures. Cartography, like art, is inherently political. This piece is a high quality print on 150gsm Marrutt Professional Photographic inkjet paper. I do not use AI at any point in my creative process. All prints are created in house and quality checked. Nothing is outsourced or dropshipped. You're literally getting the piece direct from me, the artist. Note: The images here are watermarked. The final piece you receive does not have a watermark.
