Hi and welcome to The Old Button Sews, where I sell beautiful gifts designed and sewn by me, together with a range of sew-it-yourself craft kits.
Most items are dispatched within 2-3 working days, and I post Tracked 24 at a flat cost, no matter how many items you buy. (Cards and bookmarks are sent First Class, at a lower postage cost).
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
Full description
Colourful floral-themed offcuts of curtain fabric with a paper backing. Ideal for many crafts, including scrapbooking, card making or mixed media art. From the ILIV Water Meadow collection, these scraps are a glorious mix of prints, colours and textures, and include flower, leaf and grass prints, together with co-ordinating plains and geometrics.
Zero waste - I cut these pieces from the edges of the fabrics of curtain sample books, and I didn't want to throw them away.
Neatly packed into a sturdy cardboard box to stop the pieces from getting bent in the post.
Each box uses the same materials shown, but they are cut in different sizes. Some pieces are machine-embroidered fabric, and these vary completely from box to box; the photos show examples.
The paper backing is thin, so the scraps can easily be cut with a rotary blade, craft knife or sharp scissors, and can be glued or stitched onto your project - I used some to make bookmarks and gift tags, and my sewing machine coped well with double layers.
Fabrics: vary, including 100% cotton and linen-viscose-poly mixes
Colours: turquoise, pink, orange, purple, blue and green, mostly bright shades with a few more subtle tones
Sizes: vary - the largest pieces are approx 30 by 8 cm (12 by 3 inches). There are a small number of very thin pieces (less than 1cm wide).
The backing paper is white - some have printed text details. A few pieces have holes near one edge where they were stapled into the book - I left these as you may be able to work around them, but they are easily trimmed if needed.
CHARITY DONATION £1 from the sale of each box will be donated to my local branch of Project Linus, where volunteers make patchwork quilts for sick or disadvantaged children.
