Hand turned from English walnut, this elegant bowl showcases the timber's rich chocolate-brown grain and warm natural colour. Finished with natural wood oil and beeswax, it makes a beautiful serving bowl or decorative piece for the home.
English walnut is prized for its warm, rich colour, flowing grain and timeless appearance. As I completed the final turning, the grain revealed subtle variations that make this bowl completely unique.
The bowl has a simple contemporary form that highlights the timber rather than competing with it. Therefore, it works equally well as a decorative piece or for everyday use around the home.
The bowl is finished with Natasha Craig's natural wood oil, followed by her beeswax polish. This finish enhances the grain, provides a soft lustre and protects the timber while allowing its natural beauty to shine through.
