Full description
A Quiet Rhythm is an original mixed media and collage abstracted landscape inspired by the ever-changing scenery of Cornwall, it's landscape, coast and iconic natural features such as The Nearly There Trees.
Every piece begins with memories gathered while walking the Cornish coast and countryside. I build each painting slowly, layering handmade papers, printed and drawn elements and paint until the landscape begins to emerge. I hope this artwork brings a sense of calm, space and light into your home.
This is an original painting not a print! Lovingly made by me in my studio in Cornwall. These smaller pieces have as many layers and details as my larger pieces, they are just smaller. And smaller means affordable. A great way to gift original art or to start a collection yourself.
How I made it - if you know me and my work (Jane Wilson Artist is how you find me on the internet or social media) you'll know I am a mixed media artist who uses a lot of collage in her work. These smaller pieces are a great way to use up the pieces of collage left over from larger paintings. I layer everything and then add details with paint and art pens at the end.
