I have taken US postage off my items, this may be a temporary measure until I have time to look into the new commodity codes, regulations and postage so please contact me if you are wishing to purchase an item and I will look into it.

A unique hand embroidered pin cushion created and designed by Bearlescent
This hand embroidered pincushion measures approx 3.75" diameter.
It has been hand sewn onto natural silk noil in lovely soft salmony pinks, natural beiges, pale peach and greens. A pretty hand embroidered floral design using various stitches sewn across one side of the top of the fabric leaving plenty of space for pins and needles.
Filled very firmly with super polyester filling, a cotton form was made to fit the bowl, once the correct size and firmness was achieved the embroidered silk piece complete with a cotton backing was laced over the form as tightly as possible to minimise creasing around the gathered fabric. The assembly process takes a couple of hours using a huge amount of stuffing which I push tightly using a stuffing tool until it becomes hard enough that the pins cannot get lost into the pincushion.
This is then fitted to a 3.75" natural beech wooden bowl, glued in place and protected with a sealant. Finished with natural crochet lace around the brim and a beige pearl satin rolled ribbon which is tied into a small bow.
My pincushions have 3 layers of fabric to ensure a longevity.
Made for the crafter, someone who loves to sew, this would make a beautiful unique keepsake gift.
This will be posted by Royal Mail Tracked 48 parcel post.
