Full description
A vintage sewing pattern for a misses' pinafore dress in two styles and size 16 (bust 36"/91.5 cm, Simplicity 5209). The sleeveless pinafore dress has V neckline, round back neck, darted bodice and left side zip closure. It may be worn with a self fabric or purchased belt. View 1 has top-stitching trim and slightly flared, six-gored skirt, darted at the waistline. View 2 has slim skirt fitted at waistline with front gathers and back darts and has a pleat at the bottom of the centre back seam. The pattern has been used to make view 1. A couple of the pattern pieces are slightly torn. It is not dated, but the pre-decimal price and sizing indicate that it dates from the 1960s.
