Meet Opaline - The Forgotten Unicorn.
A one-of-a-kind handmade textile sculpture, created from a collection of vintage and antique fabrics, lace and treasured embellishments.
This magical unicorn has been lovingly handmade as a completely one-of-a-kind textile art sculpture.
Created using a carefully collected mixture of vintage and antique textiles, lace, embellishments and found materials, each detail has been chosen and layered to give this piece its own unique history and personality.
Her body is full of beautiful imperfections, aged textures, visible stitches and delicate details - from floral fabrics and antique-style lace to tiny buttons and embellishments. Her soft flowing mane I crafted using nettle fibre and handmade horn give her a wonderfully whimsical, fairytale character.
Crafted with lots of hand stitching and slow work.
I love creating pieces that feel as though they may have stepped out of an old storybook, been discovered in a forgotten attic, or belonged to a magical world all of their own.
