Full description
A small painting of a Ukrainian countryside landscape by Kim Onyskiw, featuring a yellow wheat field underneath a clear blue sky - reflecting the colours of the Ukrainian flag. In the foreground are two textured stalks of wheat raised from the canvas, which symbolise Ukraine being known as the breadbasket of Europe. Small red poppies are seen scattered throughout the field - remembering those who have died protecting their country.
This original blue and yellow scene is painted in acrylics on a 14cm x 24cm canvas (5.5 x 9.45"), and has a depth of 1.6cm (0.6"). The wheat has been created with modelling paste and is raised up to 1mm from the surface of the canvas. The picture carries on over the edge of the canvas so there is no need for framing, and the canvas has been strung so it is ready to hang.
The Ukraine inspired canvas will be packaged with bubblewrap and cardboard to prevent any damage during shipping, and will be sent by Tracked 24.
If sold, 25% of the item price of this painting will be donated to AUGB's Help Ukraine fund.
