Full description
Over the Fells to Home, an original felt and stitch landscape, inspired by the colours and textures of the Cumbrian fells.
My morning walks across these fells are a constant source of inspiration. They keep me grounded and help me clear my head.
I love the feeling of reaching the brow of the fell, knowing that i'm nearly home and a brew is calling.
This piece, I hope captures a little of that feeling: the landscape I walk, love and call home.
How It's Made
I've used fine wools, fabric, silk and a variety of fibres to create this original piece. I've combined various felting techniques, appliqué and stitch to build up the landscape. Detail has been added with free-motion stitch, a form of drawing with a sewing machine and just a touch of hand stitch.

Framed in black as seen here approx size 25 x 20 cm ( 10 x 8 ")
The frame can be wall hung or sit on a shelf as it has an arm and hanging fitting

Mounted ready to frame, to fit the frame size above.
This is a standard frame size let me know if you would like me to suggest cost effective high street frames to suit.
I am happy to provide mounted for a different frame size, contact me to discuss.

This piece will be either signed and or initialled on the front mount and signed and dated on the back.
I pack everything with care and post to you using a tracked delivery service.
