Do you have a sewing machine that's sitting in a cupboard, unloved and unused? Are you lacking confidence in getting started? Used to sew a lot, but haven't in years and just want a wee refresher? Then this class is for you!
Bring your machine to my studio and we'll work through everything together. Learn how it works, how to thread it, how to change needles, change the presser feet, and what each one is used for, learn how to adjust thread tension and fix basic technical issues. Pick up a whole heap of useful tips and tricks from someone who has over 40 years of experience.
You'll have my undivided attention, and will, with assistance, work your way through a few starter exercises and then, if we have time, will stitch up a handy tote bag to take home with you.
Class lasts 2 hours.
Please bring your own machine if you have one. It must be in good working order - please bring ALL the cables, manual and bits and pieces.
If you haven't got a sewing machine, don't despair. Just let me know at time of booking and we'll set you up with one of our fab wee Brother LS14S machines. This lovely mechanical machine is sturdy, affordable and easy to use, perfect for all stitchers.
All other material and equipment is provided for use in class.
