Full description
I handmake these stunning green hoop earrings from clay that I forage myself around the City of Bristol.
After finding and digging the clay I sift and process it to remove any impurities before rolling, cutting and drying them. They are then ready for its first firing to 950 degrees after which I glaze them and then fire them a second time to 1060 degrees! I do all this from my little cabin studio on the outskirts of Bristol.
- Each Earring is approximately 28mm across with a total drop of 40mm.
-I use hypoallergenic surgical steel hooks to make sure they are comfortable to wear all day long.
- They are fired twice up to 1060 degrees Celsius to ensure they are light, strong and durable.
- Each pair come in a lovely handstamped eco gift box making them the perfect present.
I have been foraging my own clay for a few years now and love experimenting the interactions between different clays and glazes. Each Clay I forage interacts and behaves slightly differently making it great fun to work with and I include a little booklet with every order about how to go and give it a go yourself!
The photos show the design and glaze used but due to the exciting nature of foraged clay ceramics every single pair come out slightly different and unique!
