"I'm frae Fife!"
This cow lives very close to St Andrews in a village called Kingsbarns, Fife in Scotland.
She was happy and very curious to have her photo taken.
This is a lino print which is a relief print where I carve my design onto a piece of lino and then roll ink over the raised surface. A sheet of Japanese paper is pressed hard by hand to transfer the image. I use an old metal spoon and a wooden barren to rub the back of the paper.
Each print is slightly different because of the nature of transferring the image by hand.
This curious cow print comes in an edition of 30 prints in this colourway. Each print is numbered and signed by the artist.
I use Cranfield Caligo safe wash relief inks and Ho-Sho paper made in Japan.
Unmounted prints are 18.7 x 22.4cms and are card backed and cellophane wrapped for protection. The image size is approximately 13 x 14cms. Postage is free by Royal Mail large letter Tracked 48.
Mounted prints are 25 x 25cms and will fit a frame from either Amazon UK or similar retailers. The card is cream with a slight texture. Postage is free with Royal Mail small parcel Tracked 48.
