New for September 2026 - weekly classes held on Wednesday mornings. Classes are held in monthly blocks, and this listing is for September 2026
When - Wednesday morning, 10am to 1pm, on the following dates: 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th September 2026.
Held in my lovely studio in Low Valleyfield, Fife, this class is aimed at both beginners and improvers.
Everyone will start by being guided through three tutor-led projects before moving on to making items of your choice. For these tutor-led projects, most materials, sewing patterns and instructions are provided by me.
You are required to bring a basic sewing kit (fabric scissors, pins, tape measure, pencil and notepad, hand sewing needles, sewing machine needles in a variety of sizes, various colours of machine sewing thread, small scissors for thread snipping and marker chalk).
Studio sewing machines are available, but if you have your own, you are strongly encouraged to bring it. Sewing machines must be in good working order and safe to use.
A studio overlocker is available - please ensure you bring at least 3 spools of thread (500m) to match your fabric colour if you intend to use this machine.
My studio is equipped with overlockers, a coverstitch machine and a shared large cutting table. As I limit numbers to a maximum of 4, there's ample space to work comfortably at each sewing station.
You are purchasing the entire block of 5 sewing classes. Please ensure you can attend all 5 dates shown above before purchasing.
