Full description

New for September 2026 - weekly classes held on Wednesday mornings, thoughout September.

When - Wednesday morning, 10am to 1pm, on the following dates: 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th September 2026.

Held in my lovely studio in Low Valleyfield, Fife, this class is aimed at both beginners and those with more experience.

Every learner starts with guided projects, with all materials supplied by us. Starting on set projects allows me to assess your current skill level so I can fine-tune my sessions to your needs, it builds your sewing "muscles" up by learning a variety of new techniques, introduces you to the language of sewing and, most importantly, sends you home most weeks with a project that shows real progress, and may even be finished and ready to use.

You need to bring a basic sewing kit to every class - a full list of essential and optional kit will be emailed to you after booking.

Studio sewing machines (some modern, some vintage) are available for student use, but if you have your own sewing machine you are encouraged to bring it. You might as well use the machine you will sew on forever after all! However, if that's not possible, don't worry - we can provide a sewing machine for you to use in class (no additional fee).

If you make this purchase, you are buying the entire block of 5 sewing classes. Please ensure you can attend all 5 dates shown above before purchasing.

We realise that not everyone can commit to an entire month of classes, so we offer a variety of stand-alone workshops. Take a peek and we'll maybe see you at one of those!
