Full description
As well as fusing glass I also make Mosaics, so this came from the desire to cut up tiny bits of glass as an experiment, I discovered unknown cross over skills.
Inspired by mosaic-making, a really fun brooch is crafted entirely from fused glass making a mosaic in miniature. My eyes did squint at the size of some of the bits.
A mix of opaque and dichroic glasses that shift and catch the light, moving through golds, greens, browns, and teals depending on how the light falls. You can see from the photographs how the gold glass goes through greens and teals at different angles, the red glass through reds and golds.
Finished with a secure locking brooch pin, it sits beautifully on a coat lapel or jacket.
