I love making these lamps, ther are so many processes involved. From cleaning the gourd, designing, cutting, sanding, painting - several coats!
I love mixing the colours too.

This very large homegrown gourd has been dried and cleaned.
I've hand painted wild flowers and insects around the gourd.
Hundreds of holes emit the light in the evenings with little pops of coloured beads.
Measures 51cm high from base to top of stem and 19cm at its widest part.
Nestled on an 10cm LED wood base powered by AAA batteries (not included)
Ultra stylish and good for the environment.
