Hi and welcome to Born Again Bears. This name began as the first bears I made were as keepsakes and memories, made by bringing precious items back to new beginnings as special bears to cherish.
I enjoy making all different types and sizes of bears and indeed mice and have enjoyed becoming part of the Folksy family as an outlet for this.
International postage is a new area for me and I will happily combine postage. Please contact me for a price for this and I will do what I can to keep the cost as low as possible.

Pearl is a sweet little 10 inch tall bear fully jointed with nut and bolt joints. She has English glass eyes and embroidered facial features.
This is one of my bears made from vintage and antique fabrics which I love making. Creating something lasting to carry on the beauty of special pieces of material that would otherwise be discarded or lost is a satisfying thing to do.
Pearl is hand sewn from a beautiful piece of vintage crushed velvet in a colour which is hard to capture on camera but I describe as silvery pearl (hence her name). I have used the embroidered corners of vintage pillow slips, no longer usable apart from these corners, for the ears and paw pads and to complete her look a little collar, or shawl, in vintage cotton crocheted lace converted from a small table doily.
Pearl is unsuitable as a toy for young children but would grace any collection.
I will post her via Royal Mail tracked 48hr wrapped in tissue paper inside a clean reused box and she carries a label made from her fabric which includes my stamp.
