Full description
Sweet folk style hearts with silver wire loops. These earring are made from recycling biscuit tins to make the heart shapes. I use recycled silver wire to make the silver loops that attach to the silver ear wires. As I recycle tins it is usually not possible to make lots of earrings the same, at present this is the only pair in this design. These earrings are approximately 4.5cm long and 2.5cm at their widest.
The tins used have had a previous life and may show some signs of this, though I only use tins in a good condition.
Each pair of tin earrings are hand cut using a jewellery saw enabling me to create more unique shapes and follow designs on the tins - these are not stamped out shapes. The edges are then filed, the metal shaped if needed before being lacquered on both sides to protect the design and create lasting pieces. All my ear wires are sterling silver.
I do not recommend extended wear in water, clean with a soft cloth if needed.
