This product is made from natural ash wood and finished with finishing oil. Individuals with sensitivities should avoid prolonged skin contact. The Cwm Pren Workshop uses multiple varied finishes and wood species in its products. Whilst every effort is made to avoid cross-contamination, the absence of fibres from wood species not directly used in this item or products such as waxes, oils and shellac cannot be guaranteed. This bowl is not certified food-safe. It is best used for dry items or decorative purposes only. If the product becomes damaged or develops rough areas, discontinue use until repaired. Place on a stable, level surface. Not suitable for heavy or unstable contents. Handle with care; dropping may cause injury or damage. Keep dry. Do not expose to prolonged moisture or store in damp environments. Keep out of direct sunlight. Avoid placing near heat sources such as radiators or ovens. This product is not a toy. Keep out of reach of young children.

Full description
Ash is a robust hardwood that is prized for its durability and strength. As such, it is an ideal material for use in wooden bowls. Unfortunately, many species of ash are under threat from Ash Dieback and the invasive Emerald Ash Borer, making the timber all the more special to work with.
This bowl shows the characteristic grain structure of ash: similar to oak, but with stronger contrast and a more defined pattern.
Sanded and oiled to a smooth finish, the bowl was designed as a decorative piece; ideal for holding small, dry items or simply standing alone as a unique piece of nature in the home.
