Full description
Poppy Fields wool painting made using wool fibres needle felted onto a piece of vintage wool blanket. Bright poppies stand proud amongst the grasses. In the distance a carpet of poppies cover the fields.
The poppy flowers are wool fibres oulined with wool threads. The stems are a lovely deep green mohair yarn. Poppies in the near distance are embroidered French knots using wool threads. A few sprays of Queen Anne's lace provide a pop of white. These floral spray are represented by frilled pieces of vintage lace. The poppies are growing amongst a variety of grasses - made using different colours and types of wool yarn
A unique colourful piece of art to brighten up a wall. It would be lovely in a conservatory or hallway. A gardening friend would welcome this as a gift.
Framed in a black frame without glass it measuring 32 x 42 cm.
The artwork is attached to the backing board using glue strips. Easy to remove if you would like to place it in your own choice of frame.
