Full description
This cool blue ammonite evolved from some experimenting in the studio.
Using off cuts of glass, minimising waste, recycling and reusing, the result was an interesting one of a kind piece of hand made glass art.
It is actually perfect in every respect, no flaws or chips, and I'm sure it will be treasured by someone! Themed by the sea, its turquoise blue colours, and the ammonite shape, decorated with various little murrine fish and sea creatures which add pops of colour.
It has had two firings in the kiln, cleaned and mounted into an adjustable bespoke wooden stand make from yew.
This would sit well on a shelf, table or windowsill, particularly in a bathroom. A great gift for nature lovers, a holiday, beach, or nautical themed home.
Measures 19 cm at widest point x 19 cm high overall including stand.
