Full description
Hand Tufted Duafe Adinkra Textile Wall Art Black A3 Mounted Fibre Artwork
This contemporary hand-tufted textile artwork features the Duafe Adinkra symbol, an important symbol originating from the Akan people of Ghana, West Africa. Traditionally, the Duafe (wooden comb) represents beauty, femininity, care, cleanliness, love and nurturing qualities.
This original artwork has been hand-tufted using acrylic yarn onto hessian backing cloth, with the fibres secured using latex adhesive for durability and longevity. The finished textile artwork has been professionally mounted onto 9mm MDF board and is supplied with D ring hangers attached, ready to display.
The black colourway presents the Duafe symbol in a contemporary, minimalist style, allowing the form and cultural significance of the symbol to take centre stage.
