Full description
Unusual mulberry thick handmade paper with scattered wild flowers and leaves pressed into paper when it was made. (Similar to a luxury handmade wallpaper). I have used these sheets to paper and decoupaged this large wooden box with hinged lid and swivel clasp.
Non-toxic chalk paint and glue have been applied to the wooden box, the paper carefully placed and some additional water cut flowers added too. Two coats of non-toxic satin decorators varnish protects and seals the outside and a wax cured finish seals the contrasting colour of the chalk paint on the inside.
This unique design and size will be useful for keeping larger items and keepsakes, making the box a special addition to any collection or as a thoughtful gift for someone special or just for you.
All my items are perfectly imperfect, made to be unique.
As the paper is raised and textured, even though two coats of varnish have been applied, care needs to be taken not to apply undue pressure to any of the surfaces, as flattening could result.
Care: Carefully dust but do not immerse in water.
