Butterfly made in beautiful blue stained glass by Carole's Glass.
At the moment there are quite a few butterflies around and about in the garden but they never stay still long enough to get a good look at them.
This one won't fly out of your garden and can be admired all year round.
It has been made using colourful stained glass which will not fade in the sunlight. I have used two types of blue glass with a lime green glass for the body.
Each piece of glass has been cut by hand, ground, washed, foiled, soldered together, washed again and polished. Wire has been twisted for the antenna and a ring attached for hanging purposes.
The butterfly measures 11.5 cms across by 9 cms excluding antenna.
It would be lovely hanging in any window or even on a mirror, and they look especially good if hung in pairs or more. They do not have to be hung in direct sunlight to look pretty.
I will supply one sky hook with each suncatcher for hanging in the window. Please remember to wet the plunger before pushing firmly onto the window.
I normally post the following working day. This will be sent in a large letter box so will go through the letter box.
